An international photography festival shaped by the movements of the city.
IC Visual Lab have been appointed to lead the second edition of Bristol Photo Festival. Having acted as a key partner during the first-edition, ICVL are well placed to guide the festival, bringing together artists, organisations and funders to build a festival that speaks directly to the city.
The second edition of Bristol Photo Festival will take place in Autumn 2024 (opening week: 16th - 20th October). Entitled The World a Wave, the festival will focus on ideas of movement, from global currents and flows, to fleeting and ephemeral encounters. In particular, the works presented will include; personal stories of global relation, the resurfacing of histories to reshape the present, and moments of care, kinship and solidarity. Initial artists include: Rinko Kawauchi, Trent Park, Sarker Protick, Ariella Aïsha Azouley, Hashem Shakeri, Akosua Viktoria Adu-Sanyah, Kirsty Mackay, Amak Mahmoodian, Ritual Inhabitiual, Andrew Jackson, Bandia Ribeira and many more.
