“Why, What and How – stretching exercises before book making”

A day workshop with the designer Ania Nałęcka.

Making a book might seem overwhelming and frankly speaking it is. How can we untangle ourselves from the chaos of choices; picture edits, sequencing, book design, paper, cover, marketing! It’s too much!

This workshop will disentangle the bookmaking process. With a few simple exercises we will cut to the heart of the book; we will identify the message of the book, look at how the edit can serve this message, and  check the meanings given by the book as a medium. This workshop will get your book started.

Date: MON 13th of June 2016  10am to 4.30pm

Workshop venue: Mark’s Bread // 291 North Street, Bristol BS3 1JP
