Peter Mitchell talks about
Friday 29 November 6:30pm.
For PB Labs #6 we are so lucky to invite another very special guest! This time to tell us about what is destined to be one of the photobooks of 2013, ‘Strangely Familiar’ published by Nazraeli Press is already nearly sold out and has generated a vast array of glowing reviews, a bona fide modern classic! Peter Mitchell will be talking about how and why this work was created, and again we will have direct insight into what it takes to produce a photobook of the highest standard.
Peter will be introduced by Martin Parr.
“a marvel of decrepit cityscapes mixed with environmental portraits that show the soul of a city and a people at odds with what Mitchell calls the ‘glittering emptiness’ of the city today. It’s an architectural study, a social history and a love letter all in one.” Colin Pantall for Photoeye Magazine.
We hope you will join us for this special PB Labs and encourage you to book a place early sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, spaces are limited!
Entry to this event is £4.at IC-Visual Lab 13 West St, Old Market Bristol BS2 OBH
