Design by Victoria specialises in the design and production of high-quality book, exhibition and promotion design within the Arts, Photography and Photojournalist sectors.
Victoria has worked with internationally acclaimed photographers (Elliott Erwitt, Paul Graham, Martin Parr), fine artists (Georg Baselitz, Antony Gormley, Anish Kapoor), publishing houses (MIT Press, Steidl, Thames & Hudson, teNeues), art galleries (Tate, Whitechapel Gallery, The Hayward Gallery) and corporate clients (Getty Images, Deutsche Bank, HRH Prince Charles the Prince of Wales’s Environmental Sustainability Unit).
Victoria received a BA(Hons) in Graphic Design at The University of London and an MA in Communication Art & Design at The Royal College Art. Victoria worked at Vogue, i-D and Dazed & Confused in design and production management. She joined Smith Design in 2003 and became a director in 2006. In 2011, she founded Design by Victoria and Cluster Publishing, a new independent publisher specialising in the production of high quality books, exhibitions and the development of electronic productions.
Victoria will be giving a talk at IC-Visual Lab about the role of a designer in a photobook production, the importance of a good design to complement the photographic work as well as her past and current projects.
